Before I die, I’m going to eat a bag of unpopped popcorn.

That should make the cremation a little more interesting.

Look who came up the driveway this afternoon!!!! You've never seen me grab my camera so fast. Unfortunately, I had to shoot through a dirty window in low light, so it's a bit fuzzy. Still! Lynx!! In my yard!!! Look at those big fluffy paws! 🦊🌿

Still internalising the Vance Munich speech. A sitting Vice President goes to Europe, barely says a word about the despotic murderous regime which has invaded its neighbour, and instead lectures his allies about freedom of speech. It’d be funny if it weren’t so serious.

Today in 1564 Galileo was born. At a time when naming conventions were fluid, he could have called himself by any of several combinations of personal, family, regional and professional names. But in the end he chose Galileo, so that it would rhyme with 'magnifico' in a pop song over 400 years later.

The other place is lost, & I am glad to have reconnected with lots of interesting people here.
But.
I do dislike how too many on here seem to assume that we all agree on everything. We don’t.
Why would we?
It would be so boring.
