Retired guy. Finding my own path while walking with my gal and two great kids. I like the economics and stocks and stuff. Coffee is great and so is cheese.
I am starting to suspect that we might not be sending our best to Washington and that they might not have our best interests at heart.

A retired coroner in Ontario was asked what he'd learned after decades on the job. "Always hold the handrail on stairs," he replied.
My “you’re over 30” advice is hold onto the bannister. Stairs will kill you and not even look back

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

When nice folks get mad, look out.
It's astonishing how much damage has been done in such a short time. Flight bookings from Canada to the US have dropped over 70%. I can't see myself going to the US for a very long time.

Amid rising trade tensions, boycotts and travel advisories, Canadians appear to be foregoing trips to the U.S.

Oof!
"I just want to say it is sad. A sad day. When our government would fire an employee and say it was based on performance when they know good and well that's a LIE

... that should not happen in our country. That was a sham to avoid statutory requirements."

When you are in court, having a little evidence is generally a good idea.
"We're in the land of Beyonce now."

Reyes is pissed that the govt is trying to ban a group of people when she points out that the military doesn't even track by gender and can't even identify to the court how many transgender service members there are currently, let alone if there are issues.

The taped line fight I had with my brother when we were 7 and 5. We mature for our age.
Boston Globe reports antics of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem at Vermont/Quebec library that sits on Canada-U.S. border. She repeatedly stepped over taped boundary marker in middle of the library, referring to Canada as the "51st State" every time she stood in Canada.

Leading the free world now. Not us.
Ukraine is Europe!
We stand by Ukraine.

We will step up our support to Ukraine so that they can continue to fight back the agressor.

Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It’s up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge.

Seems bad. Of course, I am the father of daughters who wants them to be free to make their own decisions.
Almost half of Republican men now believe that women should return to their traditional roles in society (up from 28 percent in 2022)

Rock star parents come in many forms. It is what freedom is all about.
My husband @robertcooper-us.bsky.social and I were the FIRST gay couple to adopt children in the US, way back in 1985. We went on to adopt five wonderful kids — all adopted at birth.

They’ve grown so much! Here’s a pic from our wedding in 2000, and a recent one including their significant others. ❤️

My kids would suggest higher dollar amounts after each tooth lost. I think they were on to something.
are anyone else’s kids disturbed by the idea of the tooth fairy? my six year old lost a tooth and requested we place it on the counter downstairs because he doesn’t want the tooth fairy to enter his room, and my three year old outright told us to keep the tooth fairy away from her

I am proud to be a citizen of Missouri. The dumbest state.
Missouri's AG Andrew Bailey is suing Starbucks, arguing that its workforce is too "female" and "non-white" and as a result Missouri consumers “pay higher prices and wait longer for goods and services" because its workforce is "less qualified"

This is a brazenly racist and sexist lawsuit.

An emboldened right wings doesn't want freedom for anyone besides there own.
Australian Far-right racist/neo-Nazi Blair Cottrell was caught on camera by the BBC saying that the "most effective" way to deal with Black Australians is to skin them and lynch them. He also says they were happy under slavery.

Looking forward to this meeting!
The year is 2035. I meet President AOC in the Oval Office. "You've done well," she says. "By telling men to dress gay, you've lowered the population rate by 90%, thereby reducing carbon emissions." She slides me a manilla envelope. I can now afford a home in a walkable neighborhood
