Could someone in the US just roll into a gov agency with a small army of 20 year old nerds with laptops and start taking over the place? Tell them you’re with DOGE and start deleting ppls student and medical debts. Seems foolproof tbh

If you’re cis & you want trans folks to know they’re valid and cared for, here’s a tip: Don’t say it to a trans person. Go talk to a cis person.

Talk to your dad. Your coworker. Your friends. Ask if they know whats going on. Ask if they have uncertainties when it comes to the ~trans issue.~

Not so hasty, sir. You still have a few hours of your long weekend left. Don’t let the fall of democracy get in the way of your work-life balance.
Congress must take action to restore the rule of law.

If you feel overwhelmed about what to do today and in the coming years, a suggestion:

Commit to doing one helpful thing for yourself and one helpful thing for others every day.

Some days you’ll be able to many big, grand things, and some days the things will be tiny.

And they all matter.

The more I study the gospel, the more I'm baffled at how we could see this foot washing, health restoring, sword disarming, patient listening, kind teaching, cross bearing Jesus and then somehow arrive at the conclusion that he is calling us to impose our worldview on others.

Love this! Get cookies, support trans kids, it’s a win-win!
1. Did you know that Girl Scouts has, for a long time, accepted trans girls and nonbinary scouts?

Trans kids are under attack. Every year, I make a thread of trans and nonbinary girl scouts you can get your cookies from.

Lets get our cookies from them this year in solidarity!
2025 Trans Girl Scouts To Order Cookies From!
This year, consider ordering your Girl Scout cookies from a trans girl scout to make their day!

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

fascism is stopped when enough people say one of two things:
1) "nah, I'm not doing that"
2) "nah, you're not doing that"

a lot of people want to imagine how they'll say the second thing, but you should *really* start practicing the first one

I just learned that Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. An alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform (and yes it's really easy to transfer your lists from Goodreads to StoryGraph). You know, while we're moving things.
