Me: uh, no, but thank you. Happy thanksgiving.

If your software update status box is system modal then everyone involved in that team needs to be fired for gross incompetence.

Morning standup: people joking about how fridays are usually quiet, but not lately. I yelled at them for cursing us and I'm now 6 hours into a critical issue call with a big customer with half the support team, several developers, and our CTO trying to solve a permissions cache issue....

So Doppler music app has exceeded Apple Music in that I was able to create a playlist on my laptop and sync it to my phone. The future is incredibly stupid that this is a notable achievement. Now to move the rest of my music library to Doppler (over 40k songs, 300+GB. $30 is well worth it.

So now labels are putting women artists profiles on dating apps to try and get new fans.

Apple Music app is basically useless as they try to be even shittier than Spotify. It can no longer even reliably sync songs that I have on my computer to my phone because they only care about streaming. It’s never been a great app, and that’s the only reason I kept using it. Recommendations ?

Half the reason I keep rewatching Vera is Brenda Blethyn is always a compelling presence. The other half is the D90 footage.

The best way to protest is to leave when the cops show up and gather somewhere else. Keep them moving. Split up. Go a mile over there AND two miles the other way. Don't let THEM organize

It’s a bit appalling to me how often (esp in work slack) a slight misplaced right hand has me replying “dpme” instead of “done”…. At least several times per week

Hey a thing I really don’t want to get lost here is that while Tylenol doesn’t cause autism, IT’S FINE TO BE AUTISTIC. Let’s not grant them the premise that autism should be eradicated in our way to correct the science, okay? Okay.

Dealing with some companies, and it's almost always a project manager or FE developer at a gigantic multinational, the line "i'm going to become rich and famous after
i invent a device that allows you to stab people in the face
over the internet" comes to mind far more often than it should.

It’s 2025. How is it that printers remain the shittiest technology ever? Trying to print from a browser is exponentially worse than the typically miserable printing experience. Trying to print from an online banking app? I’m about to throw printer and computer out the fucking window.
