I think, therefore, I review.
There's a certain kind of person who runs outside when it rains, with the thinnest of coats and no umbrella, to relish in the dreary weather---soaking themselves to the core, like a worm drawn inexorably to the surface.

I am that worm.

I'm no prude but I do wish there was an option to hide when a friend on Steam buys a sex game

It's perfectly fine that "Bunny Girls With Huge Feet for Foot Freaks, The RPG" or whatever exists, but I don't want to know that 3 of my friends bought it (even worse, when you get the "Now Playing" alert)

My new go-to answer for "Superpowers with a catch" type conversations:

Super strength, but only when you're wiping your butt.

Whenever I get a "You're not as good as (blank)" or "(Blank) wouldn't say that 😒" comment on a video, I think of this moment from Deep Space Nine.

I am me.

So in "Groundhog Day," Phil escapes the loop by living a perfect, selfless day

My headcanon is that the loop now applies for EVERY day onward

From now on, he must accomplish specific altruistic goals to advance a day, exponentially increasing his original problem

Forced to live "the perfect life"

Feels like "[this thing] can be seen from space!" isn't that impressive of a statement anymore.

We've got satellites with enough zoom resolution to see small details in your backyard.

Everything can be seen from space.

Watched "Men" (2022) this morning and was pleasantly surprised.

It was goopy, tense, cerebral, and visually striking (on both pleasant and unpleasant levels).

It's one of those highly personal and symbolic stories that really draws you in.

Really compelling stuff!

Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a thinly veiled attempt to normalize gambling through gooners, femcels, lore lords, and cosplayers

I don't care how big those anime horse tits are OR how historied the lore is, you'll never get a cent from me

Oh this one horse never won a single race in her career? Good

Been thinkin about Iceberg videos and how they can easily frame silly fan-theories as common community ideas

Just sprinkle them in the deep parts of the iceberg and say any ol' bullshit you want

"Level 6: The Trenches. SOME people believe that the characters of Bluey represent the 7 deadly sins 😱"

I decided to take a break from Age of Empires 2 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Now I can start posting on this app again. 🌌💀

Already seeing people say stuff like, "you can't blame Trump for everything bad in America 😒"

Bitch, I spent four years hearing "what do you expect in Joe Biden's America 😂🤣" constantly

They claimed that Dems controlled THE WEATHER, if someone even just farts near me, I'm blaming Trump.

I'd like this to stand as my general rebuttle to the "Santa Anna's Leg" episode of King of the Hill and why America still owning the leg is in really poor taste.

I feel like the phrase "crashout" should have been "cashout" instead.

The phrase is intended to mean that you've lost it, or gone nuts, so I think it would make more sense if it were linked to when you "cash out" at a casino.

You're taking the chips and leaving, the game is over, you're done.

As cool as calling it "The Super Nintendo Switch" would have been, I understand WHY they would play it safe after the amount of confusion the Wii-U caused (where people didn't know if it was an attachment or a whole new console).

Just slap a 2 on that baby and be done with it.

Sometimes I'm up all night writing (being self employed lets you keep odd hours) and I really want to get something like Costco pizza for "dinner"

But I don't want to show up for pizza at nine in the morning and look like some freak, so I deliberately wait an hour or two.

Until I was about 22, I always thought people gave stuff up for Lent permanently

Then I found out the cowards only do it for 40 days

It was far more interesting to imagine a life of slowly giving up everything you love, year by year

On reflection, that's far more of an Eastern religion concept

Been watching a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer recently and it may just be the funniest show I've ever watched (both intentionally and unintentionally).

I saw an article on my browser's news thing titled, "how many books can you read in your life" and I don't think there's ever been a piece of info I've wanted to know less about.

Life is hard enough without knowing the boundaries of a lifespan's possibilities. Fudge that.

Just heard Fallout Boy's "Sugar, We're Going Down" for the first time in 10 years and was instantly shot back to early YouTube AMVs.

Never forget the death grip Naruto x Sasuke/Inuyasha had on the current 30 year olds

The burned out lady at the DMV that glares at you was once like that, certainly.

After playing Marvel Rivals for about 20-ish hours, I believe I've experienced all the game has to offer.

Now it's a question of "do I want to loop that experience another 10 times?" and the answer is no.

Although now I know where all the unhappiest 20 year olds are hanging out these days.

I've been seeing this shit since at least 2012, even from people who are doing just fine.

There's nothing the future can do to me that today couldn't also do.

Currently sitting on the porch, warm jacket and gloves on, listening to the gentle rain and Dire, Dire Docks from SM64; all while writing my next review.

Divine.

I used to be annoyed that my Instagram feed was populated by thirst traps and degenerate fan art BUT when the algorithm lost that, it started showing me into horrific medical problems and people dying IRL.

So now when I see Sedusa from PPG with a fat ass I breathe a sigh of relief.

I ain't in the advertising business but there HAS to be a better way for Burger King to peddle food than having someone sing off-key about "at BK, have it your way."

Reminds me of a Simpsons gag, where Chief Wiggum taunts attack dogs by singing off key.

"Me-ma-me-mo, mi-mo-me-ma."
