Help Me Get a Gas Mask to Keep Fighting ICE and Fascism I have been protesting ICE’s violent and illegal kidnapping, detainment, and trafficking of humans. In Portland, ICE agents and local police shoot rubber bullets and use tear gas and other chemical weapons against peaceful protestors like myself. They don’t care if we are unarmed and just standing there. They want to paint us all as dangerous to justify their violence. They want to scare us into silence. They want to break us down. I need a gas mask to stay safe and continue showing up. These masks are expensive, and I can’t afford one on my own. If you believe in standing up against racism, fascism, and state violence, please please please consider helping me out. This fight is bigger than just one person. Trump and his allies have made it clear they want an ethnostate where only the privileged are safe. They’ve attacked: Indigenous, Black, Latino, Asian, and Arab communities Muslims and people from Muslim countries LGBTQIA2S people, especially trans people Women and people with uteruses (ie, many nonbinary, trans, and intersex folks) Disabled people, elders, and the poor Immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers Activists If you can donate any amount, and help me get a gas mask (and possibly other safety and cleaning gear) I can continue fighting this bullshit, because none of this is OK.
