I see you sneaking free trade in there, liberal. No borders for people, no place to hide for capital.
And I think liberals should stop taking the bait and ceding ground on immigration.

Immigration is good. Multiculturalism is good. Free trade is good. Stop being embarrassed to say so.

From my POV, car owners are participating in an ongoing, violent and deadly war against human civilization. In the USA alone, car drivers have killed nearly 1 million people since 2000.

Any effort to stop this carnage and you get this type of childish histrionics.
Taking away our cars can, should, and will be treated as a declaration of war upon rural America.
I find "America isn't really set up for it" to be an annoying rebuttal to any sort of proposal to reduce car dependency. Our leaders used policy to create a system of car dependency and we can sure as hell use policy to undo that. There are absolutely barriers, but do nothing is not a solution.

The converse is also true: rural places are not important, no one lives there.
Another good practice for the New Year would be for all the non-fascists in America who want to opine about politics to really begin believing that urban America is Real America & that its denizens are The Authentic People. Get some self-respect & drop the volkish nationalist view that they're not

This is American nonsense. Most courses in Scotland are exactly the kind of elitist, extractive private institutions everyone knows them to be.
The DC public golf courses are what golf *should* be in America and *is* in Scotland, Ireland, and England. They are communal treasures and the opposite of the kind of golf elitism that makes most of Bluesky hate golf. You do not want these courses to get ransacked unless you're just performing
very specific to DC complaint here but when trump is threatening to take over the city's historically significant public golf courses so he can privatize them and make them another getaway for the 1% i don't think going "well maybe they shouldnt be golf courses to begin with" is helpful or realistic

I have been murdered by the Left simply for suggesting that the Freikorps have some good points.
Unterdessen werde ich massiv von links beschimpft, weil ich eine offene Debatte mit der Neuen Rechten wage, einen Ideenwettbewerb, um Ex-CDU-Wähler zurückzugewinnen. Euer ganzes "no pasarán" ist evident gescheitert.

I unironically believe this. The woman who sideswiped me coming around a roundabout in full view in the middle of the day should have had her head taken off by a shaped charge.
cars are too safe for drivers and have been for years. get rid of seatbelts and crumple zones and airbags. put a steel spike on the steering wheel. ideally - and I genuinely believe this - any car collision above 25 mph should kill everyone inside.
