Possible causes of your problems. It’s a diagram that (sadly) still seems relevant in 2025, so reposting a year and a bit on.

I wholeheartedly agree with this.

Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch, Ed Davey, Stephen Flynn, Nigel Farage, Carla Denyer & Adrian Ramsey: your language and your leadership are what shapes the narrative in this country. Please take note and take urgent action with your words.

So this morning’s all-age service involved large supplies of vinegar & ketchup amongst other things, and now my office smells strongly of nothing else. 😬🤢

Today is the day I hit my target of 1,000 miles walking this year.

Fitting that it should be (unintentionally) at one my favourite local places, Cullercoats, while walking part of the coastal path again.

Onwards now to a revised target of 1,500 miles.

Today Heaton Churches Together says farewell to Gail, one of our faithful ministers, who I am privileged to call ‘friend’. Gail retires today and moves on to pastures new.

Huge thanks for all you have done to serve Heaton, Gail, & for your dear friendship. May God bless you in this new season.

Preaching at a neighbouring church this morning, who use the Good News version.

I decided to use my own copy so preached from this for the first time. It felt like a privilege. 🙂

Last weekend, I completed the English coastal path from the Headland, Hartlepool to the Scottish border.

It stretches 131 miles and is stunning! You should walk (at least part of!) it!!

Now time to plan my next walks north of the border to carry it on. 😁

Dear Keir Starmer & the Labour government,

Please stop trying to out-Reform Reform (you can’t) & instead seek to be the government that millions of people voted for hoping for change. The UK needs care for the isolated, vulnerable, ostracised & poor not the demonisation of them.

Many thanks.

Reasons not to use Amazon #2847.
Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:

Endless is the victory, Thou o’er death hast won!

Lovely walk today to find the Grotto today. Grateful for the time off and the opportunity to explore more of the local coastline south of the river.

I’ve now essentially walked the entire coastline from Sunderland to Holy Island. 😁
