UFOs circling the skies of Ipswich tonight. The alien invasion has clearly begun. I hope you didn’t have any plans for Christmas

Darwyn Cooke’s work is a delight. It’s difficult to look at these two covers and for them not to bring a smile to my face

100 years ago Ipswich had, I think, the first Indian mayor in the country and by the sounds of it, he had an interesting life

Looks like someone forgot to turn THE PORTAL™️ on this morning.

71 articles. And I remember when I used to think 25-30 was a good total for #ThoughtBubble...
Still a few more @thoughtbubbleuk.bsky.social Month 2025 pieces to go up at BF but apologies to everyone we didn't get to. None of us managed to cover everything we wanted to but current projection is 71 TB articles will have been published this year. www.brokenfrontier.com

A comic on kickstarter is being sold for £10 + £3p&p. It clearly says on the cover it’s £6.99. The Forbidden Planet website says you can preorder a copy for £6.99. I’m guessing it’ll appear in the shop formerly known as WHSmith as usual for that cover price too. So why the mark up? An error?

BONUS: can you name all the artists on the poster?

I managed to work out most of them over the years, but can’t remember who they all are now
When/where did you first see original comic book artwork?
For me it was 40 years ago. I was a little disappointed with it, because I didn’t recognise most of the artwork. The poster suggested I would see Gibbons Dr Who, Davis Cap Britain & a Bolland Dredd, but none of those were in there

Good. This is exactly what I hoped the BBC would do.

I'll be bringing some of my HDK and Library of the Occult releases on cassette and CD, if you're interested in some *very* limited edition stories and soundtracks
I do have some on vinyl too, but I probably wont bring them (unless anyone *really* wants me too).

There’s a subject that bored me to tears. BBC bias. Everyone seems to think the BBC is biased against them. Even football fans think the BBC is biased against their team. The idea that sometimes people project their own biases onto the BBC is of course unthinkable.

Comics I’ve finished reading so far this year. I didn’t buy them all this year I should add. I think the oldest one I have there might date back to 2007.
The comic I most relished reading was A Very British Affair, Rebellion’s collection of old romance comics.
As I’ve said before, I loved The Bus.
