Also, these are not stories about women refusing to use AI they've been told to use, they're about women not using AI to do their work for them without being told, ie women doing the jobs they're actually paid to do without injecting slop into their work. And this is ALWAYS portrayed negatively.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

This is not okay. I do not want to be once again put in the position of having to intubate and care for patients with #COVID19 without the protection of the vaccine. Can we please not go backwards. #medsky

What we’re witnessing now is widespread abandonment of disabled and vulnerable people.

We’re seeing policies enacted that are designed to harm us.

Cuts to services that are necessary for survival.

This is eugenics, and it’s been made easier by the normalization of ableism.

House GOP is holding a hearing on their tax bill at 1:00 AM because they don't want us to know about their scheme to strip 13.7 million people of health coverage & they think no one will stay awake for it.

I’ll be there, testifying & offering amendments to protect our families.

Under its new leadership — who spread misinformation throughout the pandemic — the FDA announced it will limit all Covid vaccines to adults over 65 and those with certain medical conditions.

Covid continues to spread and cause harm. This an anti-science move that will kill more Americans.

It’s beyond negligent that we haven’t upgraded air quality in schools.

It’s all upside. Less communicable disease, less covid, reduction in student and teacher absences, better concentration and more.

Kids can’t protect themselves. They need the adults to fight for them. We’re letting them down
We need to stop making concessions to the right bc right-wingers get mad.

There’s this big effort to rewrite school closures. Even in ostensibly liberal media, we get solemnly acknowledgments that schools were closed too long.

Not bc of data, but bc right wingers screamed about it long enough.
The truth is, we never, in any systematic way, made classrooms safe, like ensuring upgraded ventilation and air purification in schools.

And COVID ripped through classrooms. Kids fueled household spread and hundreds of thousands of them lost caregivers to the virus.

But we don’t talk about THAT.

The only way to prevent long COVID is to avoid getting COVID.

This is the message public health should be delivering to the masses.

It’s dreadfully unfair that they’ve allowed a novel virus to go unmitigated, creating a mass disabling event where each infection is a dice roll with disability

An firm, open commitment to the destruction of habeas corpus— the creation of a new rule that says anyone the administration orders ICE to seize can be shoved onto a flight to a torture prison in another country and there's nothing any US court can do about it— destroys constitutionalism.

The remote option should have never been abandoned in the first place, but I find it even weirder that people have memory-holed it even existing. American conference organizers should be utilizing it rather than expecting people to physically attend when it puts them in danger
