Resurfacing this after sharing this book by @reemfaruqi.bsky.social w/my school's first grade team & hearing them rave about it. They read & discussed, then had students draw & write about how they decorate--or would like to decorate--their homes for a holiday they celebrate. #kidlit #TLSky
In THE HOUSE WITHOUT LIGHTS by Reem Faruqi w/art by Nadia Alam, during winter an unadorned house longs to be decorated with festive lights like rest of the surrounding homes. When spring comes, the house is thrilled to have its time to shine when the family decorates to celebrate Eid. #kidlit 📚👍
