For a Dino-vember themed Makerspace Monday activity, we made faux amber pieces. Some researched before drawing images, while others dove right in. Super simple project--cardstock circles colored w/colored pencils, shaded around, then glued to flatback glass marbles. #TLSky #SchoolLibrary #EduSky

Definitely a Monday! Unexpected fire drill after a sprinkler system malfunction. Stood outside in the cold for 20 minutes. Cleared to return to the school, but the fire alarm system couldn't be turned off. Flashing alarm light & audio evacuation alert continued for another hour. #EduSky

The #SchoolLibrary dinosaur hunt was a huge hit with everyone today from our kindergarten kids to our too cool for school 5th graders. Many were located today (photo 1 was after AM book exchange, photo 2 at end of day) & kids want to know if I’ll do it again next month. #TLSky #EduSky

Using my prep time to process this imp new #antiracism kit for the library (sent via collab btwn district collab & district librarian).

Emailed staff; encouraged team-teaching w/ me on this, or borrow it for solo teaching in class.

If you and your children are not ready for a particular book, that is okay. It is not okay to limit the access to books, stories, and experiences for other families. Every book is not for everyone, but every book is for someone.

We went seasonally spooky for today’s Makerspace Monday, making spider webs with a variety of materials. Using hand held hole punches & using needles to thread yarn took some effort & perseverance, but everyone was excited to take home a spider ring. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky
