Was a little late to finishing The Summer Hikaru Died. Really cannot stress enough how drop-dead amazing it is. Terrific adaptation of a phenomenal comic that only elevates the story of internalized homophobia and violent self-hatred into a moving work of painful queerness. Thorny, sticky, scary.

Today in "Kira learns how to draw", I actually did what I set out to do yesterday and drew Hikaru (from The Summer Hikaru Died). I have no particular goal right now other than to draw a lot of manga characters and see what I learn along the way.
