In 1932, FDR was elected with 57.4% of the vote. He brought us the New Deal.
In 1964, LBJ was elected with 61.1% of the vote. He brough us the Great Society.
In 2025, Trump was elected with 49.8% of the vote. He's attempting to destroy everything FDR & LBJ built.

The rest is commentary.

James Talarico: Why do we have a trillionaire when veterans are sleeping on the streets? I’m all for success, but this is not success. This is hoarding. The reason poverty still exists in the wealthiest country in history is not because we can’t feed the poor. It’s because we can’t satisfy the rich

Trump's orders to destroy vessels and kill people in the waters off of South America does not exonerate those that carry out those orders. "Just following orders" isn't an excuse.

The SCt gave trump permission to steal from us, and he is taking advantage of that permission with the claim he to the DOJ. However, because that permission doesn't extend to his minions, he's likely promised (or already issued) blanket pardons to everyone working for him. They'll need them.

It never ceases to amaze me how utterly unqualified and incompetent almost every person appointed by trump to positions within his administration is, particularly at the cabinet level.

I'd love to see the DoD legal opinion that provides cover for the murders the administration is committing on the high seas (or in territorial waters off South America). The attorney that signed that put his bar license at risk.

I wonder when Hegseth is going to reveal the Occupation Ribbons for military member he's going to authorize for CA, IL and every other place Trump will be sending troops. They are coming.

Trump will invoke the Insurrection Act as soon as he thinks he will get away with it.

Trump isn't in a hurry to re-open the government. He needs time to do maximum damage and inflict maximum pain.
