Musk suffers from the same delusion as his fans: he imagines he knows things because he has money. This has caused him to repeatedly embarrass himself publicly, and the humiliation makes him more resentful of criticism instead of triggering self reflection. He shouldn't be anywhere near government

What I’ve seen with these tech guys is the effects of an education missing humanities. Yes, the much maligned humanities really gives you a foundation in understanding the world, society, organizations, hierarchy, while at the same time elevating your critical thinking and analytical skills.

Old Twitter's mechanisms would have led me to experts on wildfires, water-policy obsessives, and brave photographers who carried their cameras to the edge of danger and beyond. Today's X wants to convince me that LA's catastrophe is all the fault of women and minorities.
