More please! We need alternative housing available and "legal" in all states.

Lot's going on with housing in the WA session, so I hope folks won't overlook one the most outside-the-box bill ideas I've seen in a while: mobile dwellings.

Nothing comes close to how quickly and cheaply MDUs can add homes to house lots.

Yes, we need light and hope for the coming days, months, and years.

I'm thankful for the people on BlueSky. 💙

3-5" of snow is expected to fall in our deep south town, Fairhope, AL on Tuesday 🥶

Fairhope is on the Mobile Bay, which flows into the Gulf of Mexico. We're usually complaining about how hot it is!.

Price gouging is illegal, yet corporations don't hesitate to do it anyway.

People who have lost their homes in the Los Angeles wildfires are struggling to find affordable short-term housing — a challenge made worse by an outbreak of price gouging by some property owners.
Displaced Los Angeles-area residents face spiking rents as authorities warn of price gouging
The ongoing wildfires have set off a stampede to find housing, leading some homeowners and property managers to raise rents higher than the 10% allowed during emergencies.

The DOJ just sued six corporate landlords for using algorithmic software to allegedly price-gouge millions of renters.

Some, like Camden Property Trust, have even seen their profits skyrocket and spent millions on stock buybacks while engaged in this scheme.

This is huge.

We need more "low cost" housing.

The term "affordable housing" is relative.
Housing costs are one of the biggest challenges people face. Rent is rising, buying a home feels out of reach, and the lack of affordable housing makes it harder for people to build the lives they want.

We need housing solutions that put people first.
