I was going to say something about the failures of DSA strategy re:democrats. But judging by the replies I think the biggest failure of the Usian socialist movement is how many of its own supporters think socialism = government doing something.

Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!

Humpback whale populations have recovered significantly since whaling bans: from around 5000 during the later years of whaling to now an estimated 84000. This moved them from the endangered animal list
