MLS is refereed differently. It's that simple. Why are we giving penalties for that?

Mikel Merino is really looking like a player. He was awesome today. All he had was a fitness issue. Those games as a striker have made him match fit, and we can all see the difference.

When Arteta blamed the ball, the Telegraph put it on the front page of their sports section.

When Guardiola does it, it's page 5.

I am confident Arteta and this group of players will win the league (obvs not this season!) If and when that happens, I just cannot imagine I am going to spend all my time posting absolutely non-stop about the chasing teams and muscling into conversations among supporters of those teams.

After the same number of games, we are only two points worse off, when compared to last season despite all our injuries and setbacks this. This is a real testament to Arteta abilities as a manager.

This week’s column. As fans we love nothing more than watching academy talent breaking into the first team. But it pretty much only ever happens out of crisis and necessity 👇🏻🔴⚪️

Money talks
We got a Costco membership for the first time in our lives today. They asked why & I said because treat your workers well, you value diversity, & you didn’t cave in to authoritarian demands. He said: “We’ve been getting lots of folks saying that, thanks for joining.”

This is absolutely unbeliveable from a 17 years old player at this level. A complete performance from Ethan Nwaneri.

Quality technicians who take responsibility go right to the top. Ethan Nwaneri was #Arsenal’s best attacker by a distance, and picked his moment of quality to help win us the game. Defenders look terrified when he faces up to them as he has genuine two way threat. Baller. #AFC

17y 331d - Ethan Nwaneri is the youngest player on record (since 2003-04) to complete 5+ dribbles and assist a goal in a Premier League match, with the previous-youngest being Bukayo Saka (18y 164d v Newcastle in 2020). Pipeline.

Kai Havertz has missed three big chances and a penalty in two games, but he also won the penalty that should have won #Arsenal the game and put one on a plate for Trossard. He’s our top scorer and top scorer in 2024. He’s not the problem. The problem is he’s the only answer. #AFC

Saliba makes contact with the ball before the clash of heads. It was a ridiculous decision by the Ref, who was instrumental in getting Brighton a point.

The draw is on the Manager, his decision to subbed off Nwaneri and bring on an unfit Odegaard cost us the 3 points.
