A genuine conversation I had:

"I only made £50 a month from that thing you suggested. It's a scam."

The same person 6 months later:
"Hey, how did you afford to go on holiday?"

"With that £50 thing you said was a scam over the course of several months."

"Still sounds like a scam to me lol."
I find it insane how many people ask me for advice on something, then when I give the advice and tell them how I did it, they call bluff...

Why bother asking?

In other news: France becomes the first country to force all Supermarkets to donate unsold edible food to charities to feed the poor. France is urging the world to rethink waste—and showing how policy can support both sustainability and social justice.

Trump would never allow this here. 🤬

Good job France.

Supermarkets donate to Olio here in the UK but unfortunately just a few (as it's not law).

Hopefully it will be law one day.

Food dates are just guesses and/or when the food is at it's best - Best Before. So many things can be frozen or eaten within the next few days.

Someone out there described using ChatGPT as "third party thinking", and this is so true.

Does anyone else think that people are losing the ability to think for ourselves? And also just our common sense?

A recreation of a conversation I had yesterday:

The fact a *single* Amazon full-time employee requires SNAP benefits should be a crime. The fact Amazon is the largest employer of SNAP recipients is a disgrace. Jeff Bezos shouldnt be that rich; he should be in jail.

What am I?

WORDS.

I’m proud to announce WORDS.

I can't believe someone was throwing these away!

Todays haul.

Swapped some of my other DVDs.

THIS.

Unfortunately I know people who are addicted.

It is an addiction. The algorithms feed it. Half the time, those deals you're getting aren't even cheap but they know you won't notice.

They all do it but look at Amazon prime day and Temu sale day.

"Hairbands, was £10 now 50p"
LIES.
Nobody agreed to live in a world where the most valuable thing about you is your ability to buy cheap plastic junk because Mark Zuckerberg has collected enough data to deliberately manipulate you.

We created a society where shopping addiction is completely normalized. Nobody wants this.

I've noticed a LOT of creative people have suffered bullying/abuse/traumatic events as a child rather than as an adult.

Many of those people seem to maintain childlike behaviours that often translate to enhanced artistic, comedic or performance abilities.

I know I'm doing it, but don't know why.
I think the best comedians (+ creatives) often come from pain.

Humor + art are coping mechanisms. The more you’ve been through, the sharper it gets. But it also works the other way too.

To joke about life, you have to understand it deeply… and that can make you pretty cynical.
😂 He was so, so funny! And I love that he was so dedicated to communicating with fans who wrote him.

Don't know if you read his book on depression--it's in one of those links--and it's brilliant, but sad.

A couple of weeks ago...

The next ticket I had, won!

I know luck is random, but sometimes it sure as hell doesn't feel like it.

I never seem to win anything, but every time I go on holiday I do!

And always on the last day. What are the chances of that...

Won £600 in Australia

Lotto ticket in Edinburgh won £2,250! (But £90 as shared between 25 people).

How odd.

I find it insulting that in this day and age there aren't laws to protect against this.

Police: "We spoke to this person... Unfortunately they have said it's not them."

Me: "Can't you trace the call or the Instagram account?"

Police: "Unfortunately not and we can't do anything without proof."
Guys, please...

What can I do about a stalker?

I'm at my wits end with this now.

5 years on and off. The police have investigated but can't do anything because it's online.

This person has also told lies about me and tried to smear me, by calling up my uni, my workplace and messaging friends.
