One of the best articles I have ever read.

Outstanding journalism.

The 2004 Beslan school siege. Absolutely horrific.

The School
On the first day of school in 2004, a Chechen terrorist group struck the Russian town of Beslan. Targeting children, they took more than eleven hundred hostages. The attack represented a horrifying in...

I genuinely thought I was the only one.

Went last year and it's still the most unnerving place I have been.

Genuinely worried me. Especially walking up through stokes croft to get to the "best independent high street".

Saw the burning bin, sofas and was approached several times. Went back.
Another controversial take

I’m a fairly robust woman. I travel alone often and am generally unbothered. I found Bristol an unnerving place. I didn’t feel safe walking last night, and today I saw so much rubbish, graffiti, and unsavoury business in the city centre. Not a fan.

Stations nice though

11 months without spending any money on bread.

I suspect this lot will push me over the year mark!

Is it just me, or do scrub daddies not last very long anymore?

The quality isn't as good as it was a few months ago. They seem to fall apart after a week.

Can we please stop using AI to "enhance" images of criminals or crime scenes?

AI creates details based on guess work. As you can see below, it can often do more harm than good.

Need a wave guard for an old 1980s microwave that has been out of production for 40+ years?

AliExpress has it. Of course they do...

In general, I loathe online shopping. But I do like it when I can fix my own things.

Sad to think that in only a few days cake and chocolate will have calories again.

This has been happening for years and years.

Not just chat gpt, but with pretty much every website you visit...

You can't do anything about it realistically.

I sell my data to universities/financial institutions because I'd rather get something than nothing.

They are making a lot of money!

Sorry for being quiet.

It's been especially hard the last month or so.

Lots of people passing away at work.

I'm going to need a bigger table...

Thanks for your replies.

I will have a look into all of these.

It's worth a shot. Going to try and get it on the NHS...
Has anyone here ever had CBT therapy?

Trying to figure out if I'd be worth it for me. I've tried some free NHS therapy things but they didn't work.

Thank you.

Specifically to combat childhood trauma, depression, anxiety.

I'm usually okay, but I'm walking on eggshells.

I need to stop working on multiple projects at once

I get distracted... but I work well with fresh ideas AND I have lots of ideas. A blessing and a curse.

Just updated my novella. Fixed a couple of spelling issues.

To those people who bought it before, congrats, you now have a rare edition!

I didn't realise how much I depend on my iron fish until I stopped using it...
(family member can't have too much iron)

Gosh. I'm seeing stars...

The problem is, I'm constantly anemic and doctors just fix the symptoms (for 2 weeks at a time) not the underlying problem...

The problem with social media is that we're all just words on a screen.

It's a lot more tempting to anger someone when there's no risk of being punched.

People aren't concerned about others anymore.
They just concerned about being 'RIGHT'.
