Local areas can lead the way on protecting nature, making lives better and securing a safe future for all of us - but they need government to stop starving them of funds.

@carladenyer.bsky.social led the way with her Climate Emergency declaration. Now time for the Government to step up.

MPs are time poor. We’re asking for just 90 mins of their time to hear top experts explain why we’re heading for disaster without real emergency action👇

We have so many positive actions open to us, but windows of opportunity are closing.
Experts warn of food shortages and civil unrest. Yet nearly half of Brits think climate change won’t affect them.

This gulf in perception is why we’re staging the National Emergency Briefing on the #climate & #nature crisis.

Has your MP confirmed they’ll be there? 👇

I hope politicians from all parties come together to condemn his deeply dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric.

Britain must stand united against this clear attempt to undermine our democracy.

The scenes on our streets are shameful consequences of decades of austerity - government after government fanning the flames of anti migration instead of tackling inequality.

We can & must make different choices. Solidarity to all communities under attack. We stand together.

The media narrative was that Just Stop Oil's blocking of the M25 was completely unjustifiable

So it's interesting that a jury of ordinary peeople has considered the action, in light of the climate crisis, and found it justified
🚨 BREAKING: GANTRY CLIMBERS NOT GUILTY

A jury found Sam, Isobel and Rachel not guilty of public nuisance at Guilford Crown Court today, after they climbed gantries above the M25 in 2022.

The jury decided they had a reasonable excuse for taking action.

Look at his manifesto.
Look at his Brexit.
He is the embodiment of personal greed and national failure.

It's not asylum seekers who jack up rents, undermine the NHS, hold down wages and keep people insecure.
It's capital.
The role of the far right is to shift the blame for decades of economic attacks by the rich and powerful onto powerless people who have only just arrived here.
