The bravest among us continuing to be brave.
Most interesting part of the speech—a familiar MAGA tirade—was the audience reaction. Didn’t hear a single person applaud. Generals and admirals sat silently during this political lecture from a former National Guard captain. The right reaction.
Hegseth: "A few months ago I was at the White House when President Trump announced his liberation day for America's trade policy. It was a landmark day. Well, today is another liberation day. The liberation of America's warriors ... you kill people and break things for a living."

Just wow. Having worked so
closely with that office for the past decade, my heart hurts. Such incredible work, including the launch of FutureReady, SETDA, DigitalPromise and much more… and led by amazing people over the years.

No words.😔

We have a consistent issue with this line of thinking politically - you can't fail to fund something, work to sabotage it, and then stand around asking why it didn't work. Let's stop the political games and actually fund programs that we know work for our students.

MYTH "Federal funding for education has failed to improve student outcomes."
FACT Research shows Title I funding has improved graduation rates, reduced dropout rates, & increased college attendance. The challenge isn't funding failure but insufficient funding levels #FactsAreFun

We need to stop blaming teachers for everything.

In 2020, WV teachers averaged $44k. In 2025, it’s $53k. To afford to buy a house in WV, you need an annual income of $118k.

Teachers and their salaries are not to blame for the challenges we see in ED.
