If I was a horrifyingly amoral anime protagonist with a magic book that makes people die of any cause I want I would 100% get sidetracked from whatever unhinged crusade I'm on by testing to see whether it's possible to die of certain things. Just writing down Concepts and seeing what happens.

Knowledge-gated metroidvana where the player character has context-sensitive idle animations that sometimes trigger interactions which can't be done voluntarily, like if you idle in front of a control panel they might get bored and start pressing random buttons. Nothing indicates this is possible.

A thing I love about 90s environmentalist kids' media is it'll still have the heroes fight a giant lizard, but only after making clear the lizard is not a mindless killer. The lizard has *principled ideological objections* to the continued existence of humanity. The lizard would be happy to explain.

Standard supervillain team aura shot where the leader is up front monologuing and the rest of the team is randomly perched like gargoyles on various bits of scenery grinning at the viewer with way too many teeth, except it's a magical girl team and the one monologuing is the talking animal mascot.

Cafe at The Portland art museum has Rothko no. 5 cakes. Something intellectually meaty about seeing the painting in person, and then eating a cake copy. The complete experience. Full spectrum.

Disco Elysium is a hard sell for some audiences because it's like the one game ever where having to play a terminally divorced brown-haired white guy GENUINELY IS material to the text's structural critique, but people bullshit about that so often that folks are perfectly justified not believing you.

So it turns out that fated rivals ARE a thing, but due to a bureaucratic error it was never specified that nemesis pairs have to be the same species; consequently, for most living humans, their fated rival is some kind of bug.

Just got the most 'bank error in your favour' feeling I've ever had. Ordered two extra large boxes of bin bags that would last me a few years. They sent me 2 shipping boxes of boxes of bin bags.

I have a decades worth of bin bags now...

we’re in the vet’s office waiting room and they just called for Agamemnon. we all looked at the Great Dane but it turns out Agamemnon is an orange kitten in a backpack that makes him look like an astronaut cheese puff

I love it when period media about ancient cultures depicts the stonework in their architecture as very rounded and blobby in a way that makes it 100% clear that the designer was simply imitating the way it looks now. Like, what the fuck is erosion? Obviously it just started out that way.
