FRANKENSTEIN is on NETFLIX but- still in many theatres- please consult your local listings and choose your watch/rewatch preference!
Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

Just saw @realgdt.bsky.social’s Frankenstein in the theater for the fourth time. It just gets deeper and more beautiful, every time. My heart, it’s so full.

Was able to catch @realgdt.bsky.social's Frankenstein in the theater before it drops on Netflix tomorrow.

It is a creative delight to behold and the amount of depth resonating in every choice made in this film is an absolute joy to watch. Suffice to say, I absolutely loved it!

@realgdt.bsky.social has done it again with Frankenstein. My eyes and mind are fed, like biting into a juicy apple; rich with colour and life. With gorgeously lit sets, tangible horror and wonder tying together, he very firmly proves that ai does not belong anywhere near the cinema.

Yeah, @realgdt.bsky.social knocked it out of the park with Frankenstein, holy cow...

So glad we saw it in a theater, absolutely STUNNING on a huge screen! Those sets! The performances! The lighting and costumes and terror and tears!

#WIP for a piece celebrating @realgdt.bsky.social’s Frankenstein. This is actually going to be a twin for another matching piece. Watched it a second time in theaters today and every part of the film bleeds love and care.

I have a request. I’d love @arrowvideo.bsky.social to team up once again with @realgdt.bsky.social to release a new transfer box set of Pacific Rim. Please. Reasons? I think it deserves it. But also my old 4K keeps having issues, and every new copy has sorta failed as well.

Makeup test round 1 for the Creature from @realgdt.bsky.social ‘s stunning Frankenstein! Working on a very detailed costume for this, including prosthetics, but face paint helps me in the initial stages block out what can go where. Can’t get enough of this movie!

I have been lucky to be in London at the exact same time as the exhibit for @realgdt.bsky.social Frankenstein. I was also lucky enough to see it on the big screen a week ago and I’m STILL thinking about it. I’m obsessed with it. This is how you do it, with passion

Just saw @realgdt.bsky.social’s take on Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, a magnificent, moving work of art. I wasn’t expecting to see human anatomy—muscles/sinews/lymphatic system—filmed so beautifully! The creature is achingly beautiful & illustrates our own monstrosity when facing the unknown/other.

An absolutely unbelievable film. Just walked out of the theatre and had to run to Letterboxed to write this. If this is playing in a theatre near you, please go and see it, then watch it again on Netflix. An heartfelt masterpiece by @realgdt.bsky.social.

A ★★★★★ review of Frankenstein (2025)
One of the most beautiful, deeply emotional, truly human movies I have ever seen. Just a staggering work of deep pathos and creative genius. Incredible cast, amazing production design, and Jacob Elord...

Thank you maestro, @realgdt.bsky.social I know there are many who love this film, but I felt so seen, and so held, despite the anguish of simply being alive.

Frankenstein was everything I needed it to be and more. So heartbreakingly stunning and beautifully violent. The set design, effects, costuming, everything was so perfectly executed. This and Crimson Peak will have a huge place in my heart forever. @realgdt.bsky.social does it again.
