This guy was my husband for 24 years. On our 2nd date we talked about our mutual desire to make a family with kids in it. He was from Vienna. I was from the US. It was not easy, but we did it. Then, in 2021, he was taken from us by a heart attack at 53.

Does anyone else wonder if the purpose of social media, be it X, or BS, is to give the masses a completely useless way to feel like they’re doing something useful by bitching and moaning on social media? What happened to protests? They don’t happen online.

Our whole system depends on the President and the congress acting in the interest of the country, not the richest men in the country. We are so doomed. If the President decides to ignore the judiciary, and the Supreme Court has said he do whatever he wants with impunity, what then?

I don’t think I’ve ever felt as lost as I do today. I live in a shithole country whose citizens elected a deranged narcissist to lead us, knowing full well who he is, and not voting for him in spite of his foibles, but because of them. I can’t stand to look at him. I can’t salute the flag. I can’t.
