Don't recall seeing such an elongated high air pressure system like this before. Such blue skies at least.

This is one of the highest-resolution images ever to show "coronal rain"—cooler, ionised gas in the Sun's corona that falls back down, following curved magnetic field lines as it does so.

This image was taken in the hydrogen alpha spectral line; I inverted the image such that brighter = hotter.

BREAKING NASA 📈🔥
The most important graph in the world is going up again.

The four-year average Earth's Energy Imbalance is record high at +1.4 W/m².

Even with a record hot January 2025 of +1.75°C, the monthly (climatology corrected) Earth's Energy Imbalance was +2.5 W/m²!
March 26, 2025 at 6:07 PM
So it's 8°C above average here in Canberra with something like 55-60% humidity.

🚨First day CO₂ at Mauna Loa >430 ppm🚨

This is:
-Much higher than ever in the past 800,000 years.
-Likely not seen in >3 million years (mid-pliocene warm period).
-A CO₂ forcing equal to 2.5-4°C of warming and a 5-25 meters higher global sea level!

Squirrel!!
Our gorgeous native Red Squirrels are a rare sight, with only a few isolated populations in England & Wales. I have never actually photographed one before so here's my drawing, I'll call it 'Smile'! 😊🧡
Please see special thanks below.
