It's hard to see how this guy is noticeably worse than any of the others. Still, it nice to see that at least a few Republicans have at least a shred of spine.

A protest erupted in a Rochester, NY neighborhood this week, when folks discovered that ICE was trying to arrest people nearby. After federal agents took one person into custody, two men climbed onto a roof, and refused to come down.

Two administrators also lost their posts at Texas A&M, an example of how Republican policies meant to curb liberal ideas are reaching into university classrooms.

"Every political movement in history, including the most bloodthirsty, has condemned political violence by its opponents. The only real test is whether you also oppose political violence by your allies. This is a test Trump has repeatedly failed."

I’ve said it before but reading all the medieval history books I’ve been reading lately has been so comforting. Makes you realize that there have always been mad and incompetent kings and they almost always die in ignominy and everyone piles shit on them for centuries after they’re gone.

Even if conservatives don’t want to hear it and are actively trying to erase those parts of our history from our classrooms, textbooks and public parks, concentration camps are as American as apple pie.
“Someday, I hope, we’re going to have a reckoning over the horrors of this moment, but I don’t think we can do it without a clearer understanding of how this fits into U.S. history. There’s a tendency to say, “This isn’t who we are,” and I get the impulse, but history is never that simple.”
Opinion | Concentration camps are not just part of our past, but our present and future
From David M. Perry: From Minnesota’s Fort Snelling to Japanese internment camps to Florida's Alligator Alcatraz, these camps have become an American tradition.
