All I'm saying is that rates of autism have increased alongside the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.

So if, for some odd reason, you want to reduce the number of autistic people the smart move would be to work to reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere as much as possible.

I just want to say that I never really thought Corbyn was a great guy, even when I joined Labour specifically to defend him, because he promised mandatory selection & a members-based party

He failed to deliver it then & has spent the past 5 years continuing to fail to deliver it

This song is definitely about something, but it's hard to say what exactly, like all the best songs

Even though she may have scammed me out of 55 quid, and though I disagree with her on One Member One Vote, I still welcome the shitshow that Zarah Sultana has caused by revealing the conflict at the top of "Your Party"

The fight is on for real democracy

Thx @bbclondon.bsky.social for inviting SHAC to comment on a flawed @homebuildersfed.bsky.social report that urges cutting social housing targets. Actually, social housing should be funded through full council grant - it's more effective & pays for itself.

Trade Unions took the lead in fighting fascism in Spain in the 1930s. Trade Unions must take the lead now in Britain.
Get your union branch to put money towards training up an army of well-trained Stewards for anti-far-right protests.

All the Marxist groups should be allowed to join "Your Party" & operate effectively as open factions. Those with the most correct perspectives, as deemed by the mass working class membership, will be elected to lead. This requires freedom of criticism.

If you have substantive criticisms of the Socialist Party's theories or actions, please let me know what they are so that I can either respond or else be convinced by you

If you just make vague claims about how all "sects" are the same, then you are not in fact making a critique

I was trying to post a video of me talking about politics every morning & one of me playing music every evening

So much nicer to do it the other way around & start the day with music instead of trying to think of things to say about news I've just half-read while only half awake

And "repeal the authoritarian proscription of Palestine Action under counter-terrorism laws and uphold and strengthen the right to peaceful protest"

That has been the case at least since Blair?

So the point to start considering it would have been back then
This research is no less interesting for its entirely unsurprising conclusions.

At some point we have to consider that the main intended audience for Labour's far right pitch may be the right-wing media, more than Reform-Labour swing voters.
The takeaway:

👉 Accommodating the radical right on immigration doesn’t win back voters.
👉 It alienates the progressive base.
👉 And it raises the salience of the very issue the radical right owns.
In short: it’s electoral self-harm.

The working class is the majority of society, even if a lot of them are in denial about their true class position

If the Labour Party wants to represent other classes they should change their name & stop describing themselves officially as a democratic socialist party

Maybe "The Capitalist Party"?
In order to be electable Labour has to be more than just a 'party of the working class'
