Gamers™️ have a hard time viewing anything that isn’t a “single player combat/exploration driven game with a narrative” thing as having artistic merit.

DK Bananza is the most wonderfully depressing game. It’s clearly the work of lifelong game developers mentoring novices and it’s the kind of game we’d have a lot more of if game publishers actually let game development be a stable, life-long career for people.
