❤️. Art, photography, books, nature and cooking 🦌 📚 ✨️ 🖼. That's all I'll post with the occasional smattering of folk tales and good news.

Just some photographs I took on a walk in the local park in autumn just before the leaves fell, signalling winter is on its way.

A brief detour through pwllycrochan woods earlier when I was supposed to be only going to Morrisons to buy chicken for Crunchwrap Supreme (she won’t eat regular cat food like my other cats) It’s absolutely gorgeous in there atm, very autumnish indeed 😀😍

Fox could get a little overwhelmed with the things life threw at her. She was the first to admit she found it hard to keep it all in perspective.
She was learning to take time away from everything when she felt that way.
She wasn’t hiding.
When she was ready she’d reconnect.

Bank Voles are exactly what you want when choosing a campsite

They live underground so choose soil that doesn’t get waterlogged at any time

The piles of logs & their spacing is practical, not aesthetic, as designed to catch fallen trees, so we are not crushed in our sleep

My childhood dream growing up in South London was different to other kids. They laughed at me, but I didn’t care

I now own the ancient woodland that could only be afforded by me because of my parents legacy

It is my immortal memory of them

"A light kindled in the sky, a blaze of yellow fire behind dark barriers. Pippin cowered back, afraid for a moment, wondering into what dreadful country Gandalf was bearing him. He rubbed his eyes, and then he saw that it was the moon rising above the eastern shadows, now almost at the full."

Good morning and welcome to Fish For Tea Friday

No illusion is stronger than the one fear creates.

It's not about whether or not you're strong enough.
It's about simply deciding that you are.

Meet Hercules 🙂👋🌳

The tallest & largest tree by volume in our woodland

So tall in fact that he liked to trip up Luftwaffe bombers flying through the Kingdom of Kent on their way to bomb London during WW2 😡
