My family owes everything to America's acceptance of a refugee named Nicholas Pritzker on its shores over a century ago.

My story, however, is not unique — our state and nation have been strengthened by people from across the globe seeking freedom, opportunity, and refuge here.

To anyone who is not clear: The First Amendment protected Rumeysa Ozturk when she published her op-ed. The same way it has protected me.

Rule of law means that we should be treated equally.

Elon Musk sent a pair of exclamation marks to Lancaster County's SD-36.

Democrats sent grassroots volunteers, elected officials, and passion to support a great candidate in East Petersburg mayor James Andrew Malone.

Look who won.

Yesterday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a Cabinet meeting: "We are going to eliminate FEMA."

FEMA’s work is a vital resource for Americans recovering from wildfires, hurricanes, floods, and more—it should be strengthened, not gutted.

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

I want to live in an America that has a living wage for every person

I want to live in an America where you have free speech to express yourself and not be afraid of being put on a list or deported.

Starting this week, we've made it even easier for newsrooms and more to track how much traffic Bluesky is sending to their sites.

For those setting up analytics, Bluesky's referrer is go.bsky.app.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

Sometimes I wonder if I care too much about this tech shit and whether it's all out of my hands. I don't know. It feels when I write the newsletter and do the podcast like I exist in another reality to people saying AGI is imminent. It's discouraging and frustrating. I won't stop, though

Dismantling the Department of Education has nothing to do with improving outcomes for our kids, it’s simply about taking away resources from our public schools.
