You don't care about violence or nonviolence. You don't care about morality. You don't care about human life. You just care about things seeming Normal to you.

My only "concern" is that this generation might be more used to buy Fortnite skins and is gonna overdo it by becoming f2p whales rather than buying infinite backlogs. We are talking about "spending" after all

I know it doesnt make it better but tbh it feels more like a "bad luck friday for the SMM" than something with lasting power. Steam daily reviews are still within margin of error.

I'm much more inclined to believe "people are bored on break now compared to April" than trying to 4D chess a reason A didnt stir something while B did.

To me, it feels like a lot of these cishet men in charge were very eager to drop "this DEI nonsense" as soon as they could find a justification for it...

Yes, design patterns and conventions are useful, reduce attrition of learning your game, but each one of them gets you an originality debt, and sometimes that's too much.

There are plenty of exceptions btw! Recent games like Kentucky Route Zero, Disco Elysium, and Indika. Earlier Grasshopper stuff like Killer7 and 25th Ward. SH2. All easy picks. I haven't played 1000xResist but I'm told it's great. Honestly, Nier Automata kinda gets there too in its better moments.

It a game that starts slow as a soulslike and ends up as a modern Spectacle Action fighter. Endgame Nioh 2 is as mesmerizing as seeing a professional air juggler on Devil May Cry 3

I mean Weapon Category EXP, it has a curve so after some points the next ones are very slow. You might want to have 1 category as a "old reliable" because of skill unlock reasons on the Dojo but otherwise experiment!

Skill Category Exp has a curve, so after a while skill points per skill category are slow, you might as well get another category up and see if you like it
