Theoma has fertility only if magic or divine assistance is present, and then it's not sex that does it. Arotha doesn't have that restriction, but a good contraceptive herb is widely farmed and distributed. HoH has flat zero fertility with no exceptions (population grows only through immigration).
Good day, #DecemberWorldbuilders! How are reproductive rights and laws handled in your world? Remember, the ancient Romans had silphium which would prevent pregnancy. This is not too high-tech of a concept for 'low-tech' worlds (though perhaps not something that comes up).

I am listening to Notes from the Underground, and it's like listening to nothing but an endless rant. It's a surprisingly enjoyable listen, even though it's so very disagreeable.

I poured a lot of my personal experiences and thoughts into Kura and Kaire, and all that stuff just... vanishes into the text. I doubt anyone else can pick it up. I didn't learn from the text how to do it right, but I did learn a lot about just how expressive and personal writing can be.

I have started listening to a new age book. This is so far a terrible impulse; the book is making me rather sad. I go through religious content of various kinds occasionally, just out of curiosity. So far nothing wins me over, but it varies how much I dislike it.

Oh... CDSS is a worse story than I remembered. I recalled the inspiration I had for it, but the story itself is a total mess. This really sucks to read. It definitely has to be started over.

Captain Diunikel's Salvage Service was initially drafted in 2019 in collaboration with GPT-2. It wasn't clear at that point how toxic LLMs were, and I thought it was cute to work on an AI servitor story with an AI servitor assistant. I haven't touched it in six years in part because of this. (1/4)

After two night of insomnia, and finishing my most recent project before noon on the fourth, I took yesterday off from all writing and caught up on sleep. Now I'm antsy to get back to work. I don't take weekends because not working for two days straight sounds unpleasant to me...

The thing to understand about "age verification" laws is that they are not just for kids
The only way to "stop kids from doing xyz online" using age-gating is to demand a government ID (or invasive biometric face scan) from EVERYONE.
