Heat pumps are the most efficiency heating technology ever invented.

That's because they harvest, compress and transport pre-existing heat from the air, the ground or the water.

Compared to a gas boiler heat pumps deliver ~4x more heat for each unit of energy inout.

For Charlotte Laycock, having MG meant rebuilding her trust in herself and learning to live with her disease, rather than in fear of it.

US institutions turned out to be weak, and we have to rethink conventional wisdom.

This is a must read. Written by a repentent pastor who helped create the MAGA furor gripping the most gullible and desperate in the Republican Party
"What drives the MAGA-religious is passion, identity, and even something so transcendent that it elevates a believer’s consciousness to unshakable sublimation to the leader—there are no unforgivable transgressions, and that includes pedophilia and sexual violence."

As Jung noted, neurosis is “𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥". In the same way that spirit is trapped in matter, human vitality gets tied up in rigid structures of self-protection that may have once served a useful purpose but insulate us from the vitality of life.~David Fideler

“Short bursts indicate an ICE sighting. Long whistles indicate agents making arrests. If you hear the whistle and you’re undocumented, said [Whitney Hu, a community activist and organizer with South Brooklyn Mutual Aid], ‘you hide. And if you’re somebody who’s not, you go to the street.’”
As ICE Street Raids Ramp Up, New Yorkers Stock Up On Whistles
Taking a cue from Chicago, community groups have distributed thousands of whistles in recent weeks — a grassroots system people in other cities have adopted to help neighbors sound the alarm.

An insistence that power should follow "superiority" is essential to fascism.

Gregory Bovino is exactly who E.B. White — author of 'Charlotte's Web' — warned us about
DHS named its North Carolina anti-immigrant effort "Operation Charlotte's Web." In 1940, White wrote of the "smell" that "rises" from those who "adjust to fascism" over freedom.

For thirty years I worked in the post-Soviet successor states in Central Asia and observed over and over again precisely the cycle that Bill Kristol describes. Corruption leads to authoritarianism, directly. The path is utterly predictable.

Contrary to some media reports, heat pumps aren’t new tech — they’ve been around for 100+ years!

✅ First built in 1856 by Peter von Rittinger
✅ Zurich City Hall used one from 1938–2001
✅ UK’s first in 1945 (Norwich)
✅ ~200 million in use worldwide today
