Congratulations to the Netherlands in what is a hopeful sign for other nations experiencing a slide to the right.

After two years of far-right extremists under Wilders attempting to govern, the Dutch people have swung back to the centre.

All the fascists bring is incompetence, chaos and lies🇳🇱.

But his assertion that diversity weakens unions ignores two things. First, labor unions have a long history of multiethnic coalitions. Second, it was the capitalists and political elites who tried to *exploit* ethnic divisions to maintain power. There is only one person here trying to stop unions:

$3812.

That’s what it cost our family for my wife to be on strike for the past 3 weeks. We’re lucky. We can afford it. But knowing that after all that time and money, the only thing that’s changed is she and 50K of her fellow teachers have fewer rights than they did before? It doesn’t feel great.

Pardons to Marc Elias but his statement applies to all authoritarians.

Dani Smiles & the UCP has taken away teachers rights and then added unreasonable penalties to intimidate people from exercising those rights.

Now any employer can double workers hours, cut their pay, no benefits, no time off

Well worth watching - what made Canadians effective, lethal fighters was flexibility (they did whatever task needed to be done) and total focus on the task.

We haven’t changed.

This comment summarizes 🇨🇦 because nice people don’t start fights but also don’t back down:
