Hi, I didn't *innately* have problems asking for help. I was taught that asking for help led to 1) disbelief, 2) so-called help that did not address the problem I was actually having, 3) shame, and/or 4) no help at all.

Furthermore, the NT tends to assume that if you can do the "difficult" things, then you can also do the "easy" things.
Firstly, that is not true.
Secondly, it seems common that autistics have trouble convincing NTs in our lives that this is happening.
