Even if dead people receive snap benefits, it isn't like they are spending them. The money should still be there unless someone who is not the deceased is spending the money which would be fraud and should be investigated. How many people have been found guilty of fraud? Who are the fraudsters?

The SNAP program is wildly over-engineered to prevent fraud. Like the food stamps that came before them, EBT accounts are only good for certain groceries. You can’t even buy a hot meal.
A universal basic income system with regular money would be better, but more susceptible to this ugly rhetoric.
