We could all use a little grace.
People don't know what they don't know. When people know better, most people do better.
When someone is finally honest with themselves and is willing to take responsibility for their part, we should be understanding.
Forgive them with open arms.
They need help.
As much as we want to rip them a new one for getting us into this mess, when people on the right come forward and apologize and admit they were wrong, we should probably welcome them to the light.

In other words, the vast majority of the $45 billion in reconciliation funding is going to go to the new system of warehouse detention camps.

The other $6.8 billion will presumably serve mainly to keep the existing system of detention running without any other major changes.

Whoa! Didn’t expect to wake up to this news.

“A year into Trump’s term, voters say Biden was better.”

Trump’s net approval on the economy is now -18. That’s 26 points worse than this point in his first term and a brutal 53 points lower among independents.

The US administration’s insanity on vaccines continues to have ramifications across the world – it is not that America will miss out on these potential new vaccines. It is that they simply won’t happen at all. (Or at least they’ll be indefinitely delayed.)
In terms of what cures are being lost:

- Epstein-Barr virus is perhaps the major trigger for multiple sclerosis
- herpes simplex virus causes cold sores, genital herpes, infections in babies, deadly meningitis
- shingles virus causes an intensely painful disease

In govts around the world, people in the Epstein files are resigning in disgrace.

In private business, executives in the files are resigning in disgrace.

In the Trump admin, nothing happens since the boss is in the files more than anyone and his party is filled with cowards.

Only Donald Trump could appoint such an incompetent unhinged disgraceful loser to one of the most important positions in the govt and then keep her in that position despite overwhelming evidence that she is blatantly unfit. Will the cowardly Rs in Congress speak up? No way.

The sudden Alito retirement rumors feel like a signal that the GOP is worried about losing the Senate in the midterms.

One way to read this is that this summer/fall is the last *guaranteed* window where Trump/GOP senate could confirm a far-right Justice. (eg what RBG could’ve done in 2012.)
I'm not into prediction markets... but this has all of the makings of a SCOTUS retirement. His book goes on sale on October 6, 2026--the day after OT2026 starts . . . and now a new hagiographic biography? Hmmmmmm.
