China’s cycling resurgence can best be admired at street level, where cities like Kunshan are building infrastructure of incredibly high quantity and quality.

Cohesive networks that offer both practical connectivity and inviting usability; with abundant width, shade, protection, and natural beauty.

Design cities that cater to children and families.

Paris has built 180 “School Streets” throughout the city, prioritizing children near schools. These streets feature greenery, safer walkways, and play spaces, creating a more inviting environment for children and families.

this should be soho in new york
One of the most successful pedestrian streets in the world, the Strøget in Copenhagen, was filled with cars until a 2 year pedestrianization pilot project in 1962. The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street.

NYC’s future with @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social help
“Over the past 20 years, Paris has undergone a major physical transformation, trading automotive arteries for bike lanes, adding green spaces and eliminating 50,000 parking spaces.

Part of the payoff has been invisible — in the air itself.”

Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

Governor Murphy still wants to widen a highway through Jersey City, something that will spew more carbon into the atmosphere. One day people will make the connection between the immediate emergency they're declaring and the longterm emergency they're enabling.
I am declaring a State of Emergency given flash flooding and high levels of rainfall in parts of the state.

Please stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel. Stay safe, New Jersey.
