![▪️ More Mutilated Palestinian Bodies Returned by Israel
Health officials in Gaza told Al Jazeera that bodies of Palestinians returned earlier today, like other bodies returned by Israel under the ceasefire deal, were in an advanced state of decomposition. One was missing its head. Identification has been severely hampered because Israel is still blocking the entry of DNA-testing equipment. Israel is currently holding more than 700 Palestinian bodies.
▪️Humanitarian Aid:
The UN said it collected about 120 truckloads of aid inside Gaza on Tuesday – including blankets, tents, winter clothing, hygiene supplies, 150,000 litres of fuel, and 90 metric tonnes of animal fodder. OCHA stressed the humanitarian “scale-up” remains far below need: Gaza requires roughly 600 trucks a day. Only two crossings are open, and convoys are restricted to narrow, congested roads where commercial shipments are prioritized. Most operations remain hamstrung by prohibitive registration requirements that “effectively ban most non-governmental organizations from taking part in the scale-up,” the UN spokesperson said today. He said the UN is pressing “all those with influence” to lift these restrictions so aid can reach everyone in need.
