Currently having our third rain-downpour-hail-and-wind-storm of the day. The hail is all rice size, so no danger from it. Just a lot of loud storm noise.

We got snow today and are supposed to get freezing rain tomorrow, so I'm prepared with a stack of physical books and fresh batteries in my book lights. I'm currently on a re-read of The Expanse and The Witches of Portland, so those series should keep me busy for as long as the power might be out.

I'm finding post-election that being a natural pessimist is an enormous advantage when trying to maintain my mental health. I prefer to be pleasantly surprised rather than deeply disappointed. Not recommending this for others, just saying.
