Happy Black History Month! Here is my favorite story about a Black American you may not know about: Robert Smalls. He commandeered a confederate ship and sailed himself, his family, and the other enslaved crew and their families to freedom. THROUGH waters controlled by the Confederacy.

Ann Telnaes, a Washington Post cartoonist, quit after her cartoon satirizing Jeff Bezos was rejected:

“I’ve never had a cartoon killed because of who or what I chose to aim my pen at. Until now.”

I think her cartoon of Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman, Patrick Soon-Shiong, Disney, & Bezos is spot on.

The ABC News settlement makes zero sense from a legal standpoint. It assumes there is a moral or reputational difference between forcibly penetrating a woman’s vagina with fingers and doing so with a penis. It also assumes that Trump has a reputation that could suffer damage.

I personally don’t celebrate gun wielding assassins in broad daylight under any circumstances.

That being said: United HealthCare absolutely did try to kill me by trying to cut my chemotherapy dosage and I had to get my senator to intervene and it was one of the most traumatic weeks of my life.

The fact there are so many morbid jokes and gallows humor around the murder of Brian Thompson reveals the level of contempt people have towards the greed of CEOs and health care profiteers. Something rich people should pay attention to but wont.

The reason the coup attempt in South Korea failed as quickly as it did is because South Koreans immediately rushed to the streets to say “we won’t let you do that” and force the military to decide whether they’d shoot their fellow citizens or not.

Important for us remember over the next 4 years.

I was preparing to pitch an op-ed on the nationwide protests calling for President Yoon's resignation, aiming to provide global context amid the limited international coverage.

Given the urgency, I’m sharing it now. I didn’t expect events to escalate this quickly. #SouthKorea #Democracy

FBI Director Christopher Wray has three years left in his term.

Nonetheless, Trump announced Kash Patel as his future replacement.

This is the same Kash Patel who earned an Order on Ineptitude from a federal judge when he was a low level DOJ prosecutor.

All the best failures.
