My great-great-grandmother was born in the Tanner Street Work House in London. She immigrated to the U.S. for a better chance, and now almost 150 years later, here we are with plans to resurrect this failed system. Horrifying.

Fox legal analyst responds to Trump’s unhinged and psychotic posts calling for Democratic senators and representatives to be executed for posting a video urging service members to obey their oath to the Constitution and follow the law in the UCMJ.

Hard to say goodbye to years worth of carefully curated playlists but once I learned that Spotify is running ads about "millions of dangerous illegals rampaging the streets" it had to be done. This is a music platform running hate speech. Hard pass. Giving Qobuz a try.

See the issue is that Trump ran on releasing on the Epstein files, and Bondi said she had them sitting on her desk ready to go, and then Elon Musk tweeted that Trump was in them and they were suddenly deemed a hoax and Ghislaine was moved to a spa prison, so you can understand the fresh intrigue
Mike Johnson: "Suddenly now, they've somehow convinced themselves that the Epstein files will be damaging to President Trump and Republicans in some way that they've imagined, and so they feign outrage."

I recently have had several interactions with high school aged young people who couldn't remember their own cell phone number. It's happened enough that I assume it's somewhat normal, though I really don't understand how that works - do young people not exchange numbers?
If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

I promptly canceled my Apple TV+ subscription and let them know why, even though we are in the middle of Foundation Season 2. These companies need to feel the pain of capitulating to fascism.

Turn your ballot over. Vote YES. Protect your rights.
On November 4, we want you to vote yes on the Pennsylvania judicial retention races. Pennsylvania judges are our last line of defense and we need to make sure our people are protected, our liberties respected, and our rights upheld. #papol #voteyes

NEW—US Department of Education sent out standard Out of Office language to employees on Wednesday in light of shutdown. Later yesterday, workers tell me they found someone had updated their auto-responses without consent to a new one blaming Democrats.

Seen en route to the farmers' market in DC.

The cost to the taxpayers? $200 million.

Why can they always find money for guns and bombs and soldiers but not for housing and healthcare and food?

The remarks weren’t “about Charlie Kirk,” they were about how this administration is using Kirk’s death as an excuse to shut down critics … and they responded by proving him completely correct.

It’s kind of like Anne Lamott always says, about being a writer. “You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.” I don’t think that changes because someone died or died from violence.

The night after the murder of Melissa Hortman, the Democratic legislator in Minnesota, the Yankees were at the Red Sox and neither team requested a moment of silence.

For an actual public servant.

Who we choose to hold a moment of silence for and who we do not are silences that speak volumes.

From the rooftops, please.

When we adopt the strategies we are fighting against, when we determine that anyone deserves to die for their beliefs or speech - no matter how egregious they are - that my friends is the day we've truly lost.
Please imagine me with a bullhorn:

📣THIS HELPS NO ONE.

If we oppose gun violence—we oppose gun violence.
If we fight for safety from guns—we fight for safety from guns.
If we believe political violence is bad—we believe political violence is bad.

EVEN
WHEN
WE
DON'T
LIKE
THE
PERSON
ATTACKED
