After hearing windows shatter and my walls shake from 60mph gusts all night, I woke up to this at the very tip of an evac zone in Glendale so… we left! Family is safe and ready to evacuate on the other side of the #eatonfire. Been in LA 10 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.

Equal parts stressed & relieved to spot this VERY WELL CAMOUFLAGED praying mantis on my steps. Guardian? Enemy? Either way in strong danger of being squished, which would have broken my sappy heart #familiar

A week ago I was frustrated about no work, this week I’m writing out my daily schedule by the word count to deliver on time to multiple clients. Not sure I’ll ever get used to that bit of freelancing, but it does get a liiiittle less scary every time #amediting #freelance
