Fully admitting I forgot I had a Bluesky account. But here I am, back in action!

Reading Lisa Cron's "Story Genius" (or rather, listening), which is a really fun read that discusses what we inherently know and love about story, and how to build your manuscript with that in mind #amediting

YES! I know how hard it is to relinquish some of that beautiful prose, but if your readers get bored and bail they won’t get a chance to read on at all.

Writers obsess over words. Readers remember ideas.

If the phrasing is flawless but the point is unclear, the writing has failed. Structure, logic, and flow matter just as much as style.

Editing ensures your message—not just your sentences—lands.

I’m working with a wonderful cross-genre author to promote her new #mystery and #thriller novels. Do I know any #bookreviewers interesting in ARCs? Print & online blogs welcome! She’d also love to do some interviews, written preferred. #bookpromo #indieauthor

After hearing windows shatter and my walls shake from 60mph gusts all night, I woke up to this at the very tip of an evac zone in Glendale so… we left! Family is safe and ready to evacuate on the other side of the #eatonfire. Been in LA 10 years and I’ve never seen anything like this.

All-time favorite audiobooks? I like to always have something to listen to, and read. I'm a little picky about narrators not sounding generic. Fiction & non-fiction welcome! #audiobooks #bookrecs #amediting

Mid line edit, stopping to give myself a little eyeball massage (over the lid, duh). Thinking about my squishy little grape eyeballs being shoved around in my noggin. Eyeballs are weird. #amediting #eyeballs

Equal parts stressed & relieved to spot this VERY WELL CAMOUFLAGED praying mantis on my steps. Guardian? Enemy? Either way in strong danger of being squished, which would have broken my sappy heart #familiar

A week ago I was frustrated about no work, this week I’m writing out my daily schedule by the word count to deliver on time to multiple clients. Not sure I’ll ever get used to that bit of freelancing, but it does get a liiiittle less scary every time #amediting #freelance

Feels like old Twitter over here! What's everyone reading for the winter? I tend to go Russian fairytale, but A Winter's Promise is close enough. Feels like I might run into a polar bear. #novemberreads #cozyvibes #books
