With Canada in and Britain rejoining the EU, the Euro would be a true equal to the US greenback as the world reserve currency. Especially with the natural resource riches of Canada in its sphere. Contemplate American fiscal and monetary implications to that scenario, and the effect on their power.
Today, I said a sad goodbye to a faithful and loving member of the family after 13 1/2 years of companionship and love. Mylo gave me many gifts but the greatest gift was unconditional love. He will no longer travel beside me in body but he will forever inhabit my mind and heart. Goodbye buddy!

@acoyne.bsky.social I read your opinion piece in the Globe on the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. I am currently enrolled in the Immigration Consultant University Program and have an economics background. I agree that the program has flaws and needs fixing. The solution is not to end it.

Is it me or does it seem like McDonalds is making a big deal with the Trump administration of hiring what suspiciously seems like a completely normal practice of hiring summer students during their summer break. Is this what corporate servitude looks like? How many students were hired last summer?

@alegalnerd.bsky.social, It is not only in the United States where the courts face populist challenges from right wing politicians to the rule of law. In Canada we built the mechanism to over rule the Supreme Court right into the charter of rights. No federal government has used it, yet!!

The rest of the world needs to wake up to two facts and act accordingly.
1: Donald Trump wants the US to have a zero trade deficit, lowering tariffs to 0 means squat for other countries.
2: The United States is no longer a reliable or trustworthy partner to trade with or rely on to defend you.
