I can now share the cover for CRAFTING FOR SINNERS, in which Quirk Books said Fuck AI and commissioned a real life crochet art piece

The chaos and the deaths and the outrage is the point. This administration has GONE ROGUE. Understand they do NOT care about us. They serve their own agenda. We are collateral damage.
Egg prices are up 53% compared to last year and the spread of bird flu is a major reason why.

How has Trump responded?

By letting DOGE fire thousands of federal employees across the CDC, NIH, FDA, and the USDA who could respond to this outbreak.

We’re getting so many comments from customers about how excited they are about RFK that we’ve stopped politely ignoring their comments and are actively telling them we disagree and are terrified for our country.

Saw something this weekend about accepting that authors will write with AI. No. Don’t accept it, don’t forgive them.
I’m seeing a lot of soft takes from industry mutuals at the moment that we shouldn’t be so hard on those who use generative AI because it’s becoming harder and harder to resist.
Wrong. Betraying your ethics (and your peers) because ‘everyone else is doing it’ does not suddenly make it acceptable.

Apparently it's been
confirmed that the tariffs go into effect tomorrow.

25% on Canada
25% on Mexico
10% on China

You know who will struggle? Everyday people and small businesses.

A lot of people will complain, but I’m excited for this.

👏👏👏
My editor says they've received bound proofs so finally someone else besides the two of us will get to read this thing. And those people will be other authors we bother for blurbs.
I never posted this here - my next book, CRAFTING FOR SINNERS, releases next year (October now!). I'm finishing the dev edits now & can't wait for everyone to read this gay, cathartic book

I didn’t feel like working out today. Like, I was actually moaning as I walked down to the basement. But I did it. And once I started, I went longer than I planned because I realized I was improving at a few things, which made it more fun. Anyway, I’m glad I did it and thought I should share.

I finished reading Maeve Fly by CJ Leede this week. If you’re into American Psycho, L.A., or Halloween (with a dash of Disney princess), I’d recommend checking it out.

I know this isn’t exactly a photo sharing app, but here are some recent shots from our 1957 ranch. Our living room / dining area is the only part of the house that feels close to “finished,” whatever that means. I’m looking forward to doing more to the den, kitchen, and bedrooms this year.

Can’t wait to see it!
It’s official. CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD will be having its world premiere at SXSW. See you in Austin.

And if you can’t attend the fest: the movie hits theaters nationwide on May 9th.

Bring your Frendos. 🤡

It’s great to see horror getting some Oscar nominations this year with The Substance and Nosferatu.

Yesterday while my wife was working in our store, a customer asked if we’re concerned about price increases on some pet foods we carry from other countries (Canada and Italy). She responded that if the tariffs happen, she doesn’t see how how they wouldn’t increase.

One of my goals for this year was to really cut back on social media. And here I am with yet another account. Perhaps if this works out I can stick to just Bluesky and my blog. I’m sick of all the other guys.
