Just going to put it out there that appointing a CTA President with no transit experience, after the public has lost confidence in both the leadership at CTA in the past and the current Mayor, may not be the best move.

But this relates it my earlier point: regardless of "Portuguese cuisine," the food output in Lisbon is extraordinary: Goan, vegan seafood, and fresh fruit from around the world

i think
1) this will not make us safer
2) does nothing to address the actual root cause of the problem (guns)
3) doesn’t even do anything to solve this issue. teens out at night is fine, it’s the large disruptive gatherings that are the problem. police those and drop the curfew

two biggest losers of the department of ed shutdown are learning disabled students and rural communities, both of which receive disproportionate amounts of their funding from the department. lots of special ed programs may be in danger of going dark here on out

kam buckner at 6% (barely behind brandon) is actually pretty good—i think if we can get him into double digits that’s proof of viability & would justify sinking a ton of resources into his campaign
