Russian companies have increased their debt to service government demands to expand production. Most of that debt is on floating rate interest loans. 54% of loans are on floating rate loans at interest rates of some 27%.

Isolation is the point, the goal. Information control is power, and Trump doesn't consider US allies to be his allies. The sooner you start thinking about his admin as caring about his personal interests, not US interests, the more his decisions will make sense.
