I read books from day one with my child, the close contact, soothing tones were lovely for both of us. In no time she understood a (chunky) page would turn and would start reaching out to turn it herself. She’s an avid reader today with lots of them on her Christmas wish list. Books are magical
We're celebrating #BabyWeek2025 - but did you know that it's never too early to start reading with babies? 👶

Sharing stories in the earliest moments supports bonding, brain development, communication skills and family wellbeing 👇

It would help so much if you could repost my 2026 calendars/etsy shop in my post above. Small handmade businesses are better than the big Black Friday malarkey. Thankyou so much 🌿

Another wonderful obituary for the brilliant Alex Wheatle. I'm watching CRONGTON on the iPlayer now; it's absolutely essential TV, the best thing I've seen this year. If you haven't seen it yet, you must - and you must read the books too! They are modern classics.

I am often asked how to get boys into reading. I honestly don't think boys are different to anyone else. If you want them to love reading - JUST LET THEM READ THINGS THEY LOVE! Whatever those things might be, they are the things that make us all into readers. #literacy

Love this book and I am definitely “Bear” today.

“Bear “ by #NataliaShaloshvili is a book about just wanting that little bit of space and that moment. The way the page crowds is brilliant and we by the end are all a little bit Bear. Gab and funny. @quarto.org #PicturebookPage Now breathe out!
