After getting the Switch 2 version of Bravely Default when the console came out, it sat here all these months. Yesterday, I finally started playing and clocked up close to nine hours since then. So far, it's the kind of rpg I like, not too hard but not too easy either.

Not a good look, BBC!
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

It's hard enough to read about this and now I know the person just a bit more. Heartbreaking!
Sarah Beckstrom's ex-boyfriend told NBC News she dreamed of becoming an FBI special agent.

She didn't want to deploy to D.C.

"She hated it. She cried about it."

But she started visiting monuments and museums and started enjoying it.

May she rest in peace.

The slain soldier’s former boyfriend recalled her empathy and generosity. “She doesn’t even have to know you and she’ll do anything for you,” he said.

I'm not surprised they are in this situation. :(
New from me: I talked to CDC staffers about the new vaccines and autism page. They said things like:

“The best way I can put it is it feels like we’re on a hijacked airplane.”

“I think people are starting to see that we can’t fulfill our mission here.”

Gotta love those flavors...
But they were, all of them, deceived, for another Natural Flavor was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a master Flavor, to control all others.
Excuse me…?

It's only taken almost 5.5 years but I finally succumbed to COVID. Tested on fifth day of symptoms and it went positive almost immediately. Won't count the negative test yesterday done with a slightly past date test.

More shocking stuff from a supreme court justice.
Before April 22, I would not have believed a Supreme Court justice would flat out lie- but as the author of the children's book in question, I can confirm that he absolutely did. Thanks @jaywillis.net for reporting on this- more people should be.
Neil Gorsuch told some of the most obvious, farcical, easily debunked lies I can remember a justice telling. I promise you could spend an hour trying to guess what he says is a picture of a “sex worker” in a children’s book, and not get anywhere close. ballsandstrikes.org/scotus/pride...

Went to unlock the deadbolt to leave the house this morning and the key just turned round and round. :( Not exactly a great start to the day. Good news is we found a smart lock to replace the deadbolt that had been reduced considerably over other resellers. The not great news is it still was costly.

A couple days ago I finished two blankets in one day. The round one has been in the works for months and was originally going to be a drawstring blanket bag. The one In the right was whipped up in a few days. The longest part was doing a border. #crochet #blanket #craft

Started today in fury mode about what's happening back home (in the USA). Things took a turn for the worse and I am pleased to say my husband and boys were there for me. Hoping to start tomorrow with a clean slate and less stress and anger.

‪I was just reminded, though, that I came to know NG through Good Omens which I read due to Terry Pratchett. I enjoyed it more for PTerry when first read due to the humour and appreciated the darker bits upon rereading more recently. 2/2
